They know you will fall in love with your puppy the minute you see it so you will not care if you spent 3500.00 for a 2lb Chihuahua who ends up 10 lbs. They just know you will not buy from them again and they don't care!

Tidbit #1 AKC does NOT set the standards for any breed of dog, it is the clubs that set the standards. Each club, such as Chihuahua Club of America, and its huge database of members, who live and breath for the breed they so love, set the standards for which AKC follow. There are a few hypocrites who say they breed within the standard set by the clubs, then have the nerve to talk bad about the clubs along with AKC. These are the few you need to avoid. These are generally the ones who also use the term "Teacup"
Tidbit#2 Most breeders try and breed within the standards set by the clubs. Most breeders are out to improve the breed. So watch out for the ones who try to say they have something no one has, that elusive "Teacup" if the standard is 2 to 6lbs for a Chihuahua then I guess it would be safe to assume a "Teacup" would be in the 0 to 1.15lbs?? that is insane!
